9. FOMO Paradox

A subtle tension.

Almost unnoticeable.
That faint unease.

A quiet itch to check,
to know,
to be there.

Until You’re Stuck

You notice it.
But you don’t stop.

We want to.
But somehow, we can’t.

The fear of missing out
is louder than our will.

It happens quietly.
Like a whisper from within,
deep-rooted patterns
pull us back to the screen.

One glance becomes ten.
Ten glances become an hour.
An hour becomes a habit.

And somewhere deep inside,
we feel it –
the urge to check,
to react,
to follow,
to know.

We know it distracts us.
We know it steals from us.
And still,
we do it.

Again.
And again.

Only when we truly become still
do we see clearly:

With every look at our screen,
we lose something essential.

Not just time.
But moments.
Small, precious moments
that will never return.

Moments we could have been
truly connected –
to others,
and to ourselves.

Our paradigm shapes
what we can see.
But our awareness
shapes how we live.

And it’s that very awareness –
sharp, clear, awake –
that frees us
from the pattern
that holds us hostage.

So afraid to miss something,
you miss what matters most.
